Ikigai Counseling provides guidance, support, and tools needed to understand, treat, and overcome addiction. Counseling is an important part of personal recovery and promotes a healthier and more fulfilling life without addictive behaviors.
Thus, Ikigai counseling helps the individual to develop healthy coping strategies, reduce triggers and prevent relapse. Individual counseling, also called one-on-one counseling, is a form of therapy in which the person with the addiction structurally has one-on-one conversations with a trained counselor. These conversations are aimed at exploring the deeper causes of the addiction and working towards recovery. Ikigai Counseling provides a safe and confidential environment in which the person is provided with a safe space to speak about his or her problems.
The sessions can take place throughout the Netherlands.
Ikigai counseling uses the following methods during the sessions:

After an initial (telephone) acquaintance, an intake and an assessment will take place from which a treatment plan will be drawn up.
Ikigai counseling also offers counseling sessions to relatives of people with addiction problems.
